THE SPIŠ MUSEUM - Spiš castle

One of the oldest museums in Slovakia administers over 12 000 objects displayed in four exhibitions and three exhibition rooms. The history and the art of the town and the region are presented in Master Paul's House, the historical Levoča town hall and the national cultural heritage monument Spiš Castle.

SERVICES
At the Spiš Castle the museum offers audio tours in English, German, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak languages. On Saturdays in July and August, it runs regular nocturnal sightseeing tours of the castle starting at 20.30. Nocturnal tours are also available for groups by prior arrangement. Special children‘s castle tours called „Playing at the Castle" are offered to schools. There is free parking at the castle (from the direction of Žehra).
In all museum premises there is a shop with the sale of souvenirs and books. Guided tours are available in Slovak in all museum premises and upon request also in English and German.
A specialised museum library is available for study purposes at Master Paul's House during opening hours. In the museum's creative studio MUSE educational programmes are offered for the School in the Museum Project.
