ÚĽUV Gallery Bratislava

An exhibition hall of 160 m2 was opened by the Centre for Folk Art Production in its premises at Obchodná Street 64 in Bratislava in September 2004.

ÚĽUV Gallery is to be a venue for special exhibitions concentrating on various aspects of traditional craft and contemporary folk art production. In addition to exhibitions of ÚĽUV Gallery serves as well as a multimedia information centre, equipped with presentation technology for individuals interested in folk art and crafts production.
The opening of ÚĽUV Gallery is a step of repaying debt to ÚĽUV masters - craftsmen whose work and production during their lives become a source of inspiration for their followers. Some of them, in the blossom of his creative forces have become figures mentioned in the encyclopaedias.
ÚĽUV Gallery Bratislava is a decent space, which allows the visitors to know the work of current craftsmen by direct contact with the craft exhibits, and through films and presentations in the virtual gallery of artistic production on internet.
The Gallery was inaugurated on 4 September 2004 by the president of the Slovak Republic Ivan Gašparovič and other official guests.
